Stone Temple Pilots guitarist Dean DeLeo was recently arrested for DUI and felony domestic violence, according to TMZ.
The veteran rocker was apparently busted for DUI last month after his wife, Jenn DeLeo, called the police to let them know that the musician left the house intoxicated. The police subsequently located Dean and pulled him over and arrested him.
As he was being booked for DUI at the station, Jenn called the police again, alleging the two had gotten into a physical altercation before Dean left the house. That led cops to book the guitarist on felony domestic violence charges.
Dean was served an emergency protective order against Jenn, but apparently violated the notice a week and a half later by attempting to contact her. He turned himself in on that violation, and has since been released.
Jenn has now filed for divorce from Dean, and it’s not the first time. She previously filed for divorce in 2018, citing his drunken and abusive behavior, but the couple eventually reconciled.
In a statement to TMZ, regarding the latest incidents, Dean stated, “I look forward to having my voice heard at the appropriate time and place to address these allegations.”
Stone Temple Pilots have wrapped up touring for 2023, but have a couple of 2024 gigs scheduled at Florida’s Welcome to Rockville festival on May 11th and Kansas’ Dam Jam Music Festival on July 20th.
