Track by Track is our feature series that tasks artists with guiding fans and readers through every song on their latest release. Today, Balming Tiger take us through their debut full-length, January Never Dies.

South Korean musical collective Balming Tiger have been given our CoSigns honors on the back of their freshly released debut album, January Never Dies. Out today (Thursday, October 19th — bucking the North American-standardized Friday drop day) via AWAL Recordings, the LP is available to stream below along with a complete Track by Track breakdown from the band members themselves.

Following their formation in 2018, Balming Tiger debuted with the single “I’m Sick” and have been making waves in the Korean scene ever since. With the group’s 11 different members each bringing their own distinct touch to every song, January Never Dies combines elements of K-pop, alternative R&B, and hip-hop to stunning results.

The album was first previewed with the hit “SEXY NUKIM,” featuring RM of BTS. A confident track that sounds like the collective is already on top of the world, the song won Collaboration and Music Video of the Year awards at the Korean Hip-Hop Awards. In our exclusive Track by Track with Balming Tiger, they break down the smash single and the LP’s 13 other cuts.

“It sends out the literal message to trust in yourself and is an inspiration to those in need of motivation and comfort,” the group says of the track “Trust Yourself.” “Interaction with the audience can be expected in the performance.”
