Rivers Cuomo has hinted at some big touring plans for Weezer in honor of the upcoming 30th anniversary of their debut LP, The Blue Album.

Weezer notably didn’t celebrate the 20th anniversary of the album, which originally came out in 1994. But now, Cuomo in particular seems adamant on giving it its flowers, according to a new interview with Collider: “We are going to give it its due respect and come out with a really amazing deluxe package with a bunch of additional material, and of course, we’ve gotta do some kind of epic tour,” he said.

Weezer do already have some tour dates booked for the new year, including a handful of co-headlining dates in the UK with Smashing Pumpkins (which you can get tickets for at Viagogo) and an appearance at Shaky Knees Festival. Cuomo not-so-subtly hinted that there are more shows to come: “There’s this very suspicious blank space in our calendar for months after that, so I’d keep your eye on that.”

In 2019, Consequence did celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Blue Album by chatting to members of Wavves, Real Estate, Saves the Day, and more about the record’s impact.
