For those of us who weren’t around to see Beetlejuice upon its 1988 premiere, Tim Burton’s classic dark comedy is coming back to theaters for its 35th anniversary. Dolby Cinemas will screen the film for one night only on Wednesday, October 18th.

While we’d argue that Beetlejuice is timeless, its re-release comes with some modern bells and whistles, including Dolby Atmos sound and Dolby Vision visuals, so even mere mortals can accurately experience the afterlife. Screenings are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on October 18th, and pre-orders for tickets are ongoing.

The Beetlejuice re-release arrives ahead of its long-awaited sequel, which will welcome back original cast members Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, and Catherine O’Hara, along with newcomer Jenna Ortega, Willem Dafoe, and Monica Bellucci. That movie’s release date was pushed back indefinitely due to the WGA strike, but now that that’s over, we’ll hopefully get reacquainted with Betelgeuse himself soon.
