Remember the band Remember Lizards? Well, technically, they’re not real. But, the duo might have felt eerily familiar if you caught last night’s episode of Saturday Night Live — hosted by Jason Momoa with musical guest Tate McRae.

During a Weekend Update segment, host Colin Jost welcomed the episode’s “backup musical guest” to the studio — an act that could be immediately clocked as a “blatant rip-off” of pop-rock band Imagine Dragons. Played by cast members Andrew Dismukes and James Austin Johnson, Remember Lizards acknowledged that they occupied a similar genre as Imagine Dragons — that being, “uplifting, kid-friendly, hip-hop-slash-arena rock with a pump-up edge.” However, they were quick to clarify that, while Imagine Dragons is “Christian-curious,” Remember Lizards is “decidedly Christian.”

The duo performed snippets of hilarious parody songs such as “Chemicals (Poison),” and shared that they will soon be playing fictional venue The Cylinder — not to be confused with Las Vegas’ MSG Sphere. Watch the hilarious sketch in full below.

In other SNL news, writing trio Please Don’t Destroy saw the Peacock premiere of their debut feature The Treasure of Foggy Mountain this week — which they sat down with Consequence to discuss.

The next new episode of SNL is set for December 2nd with host Emma Stone and musical guest Noah Kahan.
