Congratulations are in order to Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, and Riley Hawk, son of Tony Hawk and Cindy Dunbar, who recently got married.
TMZ reports that Frances, 31, and Riley, 30, tied the knot in Los Angeles on October 7th in a ceremony officiated by Frances’ godfather, R.E.M.’s Michael Stipe.
Frances and Tony first went public with their relationship in January 2022, although it is believed they began dating a year earlier.
Frances was previously married to musician Isaiah Silva, but they separated in 2017. A messy divorce followed, culminating in Silva allegedly auctioning off Kurt Cobain’s 1959 Martin D-18E acoustic-electric guitar (famously used during Nirvana’s MTV Unplugged set) against the wishes of Frances and her mother.
While primarily a visual artist and model, Frances has released several of her own original songs via social media over the last several years. However, she has yet to officially release any material.
Hawk, like his father, is a professional skateboarder. He also fronts the punk-metal band Warish, who released their most recent album, Next to Pay, in April 2021.
