Queens of the Stone Age stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday night to deliver a rocking rendition of “Emotion Sickness.” Watch the performance below.

The ninth track on the band’s latest album, In Times New Roman…, “Emotion Sickness” first arrived as a single this past May, and displays the band’s knack for swaggering, guitar-driven rock.

The performance on Kimmel comes as Queens of the Stone Age are at the tail-end of a year full of touring. The band’s first set of North American shows in over five years began this past August, and will conclude this upcoming Saturday with a final performance at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles (grab tickets here).

All of the shows arrive in support of their latest album, In Times New Roman…, which arrived this past June. Speaking with Kyle Meredith about the project, the band’s Josh Homme described the context the new album was made in, detailing the chaos in his life and how it had impacted his writing. Around that time, Homme revealed that he had been diagnosed with cancer in 2022; last month, after undergoing surgery, Homme announced that he was cancer-free.

This past summer, Homme also spoke with Consequence about three of his favorite hometown venues, giving a shout-out to the Teragram Ballroom, Troubadour, and Pappy & Harriet’s for helping him out during his early gigging days. Now, the band not only plays shows in Los Angeles, but around the world. After wrapping their ongoing leg this weekend, they’ll take a few weeks off, and then hit the road again in February, going overseas for dates in Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.
