Flogging Molly have announced the inaugural two-day, two-city Shamrock Rebellion festival, set for the weekend of St. Patrick’s Day on March 16th (in Silverado, California) and March 17th (in Las Vegas). Update: Flogging Molly have also announced a winter headlining tour.
In addition to the Celtic punk luminaries, the lineup for each day features Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls, Buzzcocks, Face to Face, Amigo the Devil, NOBRO, Gen and the Degenerates, and more to be announced.
Tickets are set to go on sale Friday (November 10th) at 10 a.m. PT via the Shamrock Rebellion website.
The inaugural fest marks “a new tradition for St. Patrick’s Day” for Flogging Molly, which implies that the fest will be a recurring annual St. Paddy’s weekend event a la Dropkick Murphys’ annual St. Patrick’s Day shows.
Commented Flogging Molly’s Dave King via a press release: “Hey everyone! We in Flogging Molly are proud and excited to announce the inaugural Shamrock Rebellion Festival! We have the amazing Frank Turner, the Buzzcocks, Amigo the Devil, and many, many more to come. So join us in celebrating all things punk and fun, with Flogging Molly’s Shamrock Rebellion ’24. Take care everyone, and see you soon. Sláinte.”
Shamrock Rebellion will feature craft beer sampling from local and regional breweries and tastings of other craft beverages from noon to 3 p.m. at each event. Participating breweries include: Brewery X, Rad Beer Co, Artifex, Radiant Brewing, Tarantula Hill, Stone Brewing and many more.
Added event producer Cameron Collins of Brew Ha Ha Productions added, “Having the opportunity to join forces with Flogging Molly for Shamrock Rebellion is an absolute honor. I know this St. Patrick’s weekend celebration is going to be one for the books! I look forward to raising a pint and celebrating with Flogging Molly. Everyone’s Irish on St. Patrick’s Day, we’ll see you out there!”
