On Friday, April 9th and Saturday, April 10th, Consequence presented “Protect Live Music”, a benefit concert livestream featuring over 90 artists delivering exclusive performances and testimonials in celebration of independent music. Now, one month later, we’re launching the PLM Archive series, presenting select performances as on-demand replays.
Each week, we’ll roll out six archival videos exclusively available on the “Protect Live Music” page. Our final update on June 23rd brings performances from Tristen, Mobley, Mini Trees, Yail, and Hearty Har.
These videos join previously uploaded performances from from Portugal. The Man, IAN SWEET, Toledo, Old Sea Brigade, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Lucero, Slothrust, Lady Lamb, Angie McMahon, Smoothboi Ezra, Anjimile, Briston Maroney, Claudio Sanchez’s Prize Fighter Inferno, Watkins Family Hour, Andrew Bird and Jimbo Mathus, Brian Fallon, together PANGEA, Turkuaz’s Remain in Light with Talking Heads’ Jerry Harrison and King Crimson’s Adrian Belew, PUP, TEKE::TEKE, Aaron Lee Tasjan, Deep Sea Diver, Squirrel Flower, Hounds, The Ballroom Thieves, and Skeggs, plus testimonials from Julien Baker, Thao Nguyen, and Real Estate. Watch them all via the embedded video playlist above.
“Protect Live Music” will continue to benefit the National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) which assists independent venues across the US in their ongoing recovery efforts. Viewers are encouraged to donate to NIVA directly via the above link. Additionally, all proceeds from sales of our Protect Live Music merch line during the event went to support NIVA. Now that the live event has ended, a portion of merch proceeds still go to NIVA — as they’ve always done. Head to the Consequence Shop to browse the collection, or scroll down for our virtual merch table.
