President Taylor Swift drove a record-smashing amount of traffic to Vote.org Tuesday (September 19th) on National Voter Registration Day. After she shared an Instagram story urging fans to participate in this fall’s off-year elections, the website saw more than 35,000 new voters register in one day, Axios reports.

“I’ve been so lucky to see so many of you guys at my US shows recently,” Swift wrote in a text post on her Instagram story. “I’ve heard you raise your voices, and I know how powerful they are. Make sure you’re ready to use them in our elections this year!”

To be exact, Vote.org says that 35,252 people newly registered to vote on Tuesday, marking a 23% jump from last year’s National Voter Registration Day and the largest annual increase since the 2020 general election year. There was also a 115% increase in 18-year-olds registering compared to last year.

And what’s more, Vote.org comms director Nick Morrow tweeted about some additional stats serendipitously involving Swift’s lucky number: “Fun fact: after @taylorswift13 posted on Instagram today directing her followers to register to vote on @votedotorg, our site was averaging 13,000 users every 30 minutes. 13! Let’s just say her reputation for being a mastermind is very well-earned!”

The 2023 ballot will include some federal and state elections depending on your state, as well as numerous mayoral and citizen initiative elections on the local level. You can register to vote (or check your voter registration status) here, and make sure not to leave any “blank spaces” (sorry) on your ballot come Tuesday, November 7th, 2023.

Of course, this is hardly the first time Swift has encouraged Swifties to go to the polls. Back in 2018, she famously broke her partisan silence by posting a scathing critique of Republican Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn; since then, she’s endorsed Joe Biden in the 2020 election, dunked on Donald Trump numerous times, and even took a moment during one of her “Eras Tour” stops to share her support for the transgender and queer community in light of “harmful pieces of legislation that have put [them] at risk.”

Speaking of, “The Eras Tour” resumes in November with concerts in Argentina and Brasil, before heading to Japan, Australia, and Singapore in early 2024. Find remaining tickets to her North American shows here, and all other international dates here.
