Taylor Swift’s long-awaited 1989 (Taylor’s Version) has arrived, and along with it, the megastar has achieved another landmark: she’s now a billionaire.

Or at least that’s what Bloomberg has declared in a new report, which estimates that Swift’s current net worth is somewhere around $1.1 billion, thanks to her ongoing “The Eras Tour,” the success of its companion concert film, the Taylor’s Version series, and more. “Taken together, Swift Inc. is essentially a multinational conglomerate with the world’s most devoted customer base, its most charismatic CEO, and significant economic power,” the report reads.

Joining the ranks of Jay-Z, Rhianna, and the small handful of other performers who have reached the 10-digit-net-worth club, Swift stands apart due to her lack of additional ventures (her money really is mostly coming from her music and performing, plus five highly-valued homes), and her “vast future earnings potential.” At that, $1.1 billion is the “conservative” figure, with the optimistic upper estimate of her catalog alone landing somewhere around $1 billion.

Touring is big money too, accounting for about $370 million of Swift’s personal wealth. We’ve seen that the “Eras Tour” has had an impact on laws, state sandwiches, seismic scales, and more, and Bloomberg’s analysts report that her 53 US concerts this year “added $4.3 billion to the country’s gross domestic product.”

Plus, the “Eras Tour” isn’t even done yet. Next month, it’ll head to South America for a nine-show run, and next year will see Asian, European and North American legs as well. In total, 89 more dates are queued up, which, hey, you gotta imagine the number-minded Swift would love. Check out the full list of upcoming “Eras Tour” dates, and grab your tickets here.

Even outside of the traditional music economy, though, Swift has had measurable influence. Christopher Nolan recently said that the “Eras Tour” concert film and its ~$95 million opening weekend proved how “incredibly valuable” movie theaters are. And the NFL is certainly enjoying her presence at Arrowhead Stadium, where jerseys for her new boo Travis Kelce saw a 400% spike in sales after news of their romance broke. Even condiment brands, like Heinz, are getting in on the fun.

All in all, 2023 has certainly been a landmark year for Swift, which is really saying something considering how “landmark” many of the 19 years preceding this one felt. Even after the tours end next year and Swift’s popularity gradually swings away from this pop-culture-zenith moment, her bigger-than-the-GDP-of-a-number-of-small-countries-sized net worth will be there, and with her at the helm of things, it seems to be in pretty good hands.
