It’s Official: Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” is the First Billion Dollar Tour

The tour is expected to generated another $1 billion in 2024

    Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” has officially been declared the first tour in history to gross over $1 billion dollars in ticket sales.

    According to year-end data released by Pollstar, Swift took in an estimated ticket gross of $1.04 billion, with 4.35 million tickets sold from 60 shows during her 2023 run. What’s more, the tour moved an additional $200 million in merchandise.

    Swift is expected to add another $1 billion to that total in 2024, as she brings “The Eras Tour” to Australia, the UK, Europe, and back to America.

    Beyond her success on the road, this year also saw Swift make history at the box office with the top-grossing concert film of all time. She also continues to break all sorts of records on the Billboard charts.

    The year’s other top touring artists included (in order of global ticket sales): Beyoncé, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Coldplay, Harry Styles, Morgan Wallen, Ed Sheeran, P!NK, The Weeknd, and Drake.

    All told, the total gross for 2023’s top 100 tours generated a record-breaking $9.7 billion (up 46% from 2022), with 70. 1 million ticket sold (up 18.38% from 2022).
