Massive Attack, Fontaines D.C., and Young Fathers have announced a charity EP titled ceasefire to raise money for Doctors Without Borders’ relief efforts in Gaza and the West Bank. Dropping March 1st, it will be released digitally and on 12-inch vinyl.

The record will feature material from Fontaines D.C. alongside a collaboration between Massive Attack and Young Fathers. All profits will be donated to Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders’ (MSF) emergency operations in Gaza and the West Bank, with the goal of raising at least £150,000.

The 12-inch features a sleeve designed by 3D of Massive Attack, which can also be purchased as a limited edition signed print. The reverse side features words written by Doctors Without Borders’ Dr. Mahmoud Abu Nujaila before being killed in an airstrike by Israel: “Whoever stays until the end will tell the story. We did what we could. Remember us.” Pre-orders are ongoing.

“The hourly scenes of horror in Gaza, with hospitals and schools bombed to dust and innocent civilians, journalists, and doctors killed in unspeakable numbers has been made so much worse by more than ten weeks of abject political failure,” said Robert “3D” Del naja in a press release. “We’re in awe of the Doctors Without Borders medics who place their lives on the line to help innocent civilians in Gaza. The ceasefire EP is a tribute to them, and their incredible ongoing work in truly indescribable circumstances. We stand in solidarity with the people of Palestine.”

In a statement of their own, Fontaines D.C. said they “join millions across the world in demanding an immediate ceasefire and a permanent end to Israel’s brutal occupation of Palestine. Since October, Doctors Without Borders have been on the ground in Gaza, where every human is an IDF target, risking their lives to give vital care to the thousands injured by Israel’s indiscriminate attacks on the starving and defenseless. We feel utterly helpless in what we can do at this point, however we do hope our small contribution to this record can raise some desperately needed funds for Doctors Without Borders in Gaza. Ceasefire Now. Free Palestine.”

Massive Attack recently announced their first show in five years (get tickets here), taking place next August in Bristol Downs. Fontaines D.C. last released Skinty Fia last year, while Young Fathers shared Heavy Heavy this past February.
