Michiel Huisman joins Kyle Meredith to talk about Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon, which follows a colony on the edge of the galaxy that finds itself threatened by the armies of the tyrannical government.
Huisman stars in the new Netflix movie alongside Ed Skrein, an actor he famously replaced in the role of Daario Naharis on Game of Thrones. “That was very nice. We also really hit it off from the moment we met,” Huisman says of working with Skrien. “Ed is an excellent villain in Rebel Moon; in real life, he’s such a great game. It was really fun to finally get to meet him.”
The actor also discusses what it means to act inside a space opera, finding his “simple farmer” character, and having fun off camera. Huisman also dives into the experience of working with Snyder, saying, “One of the things I really, really admired during the process of filming Rebel Moon is that I could tell that Zack was so comfortable with making this film… like we were just recreating these images that he has had in his mind for such a long time.”
